Record group 80-87 consists of subject files of the Water Management Division of the Michigan Department of Conservation (and its successor, the Department of Natural Resources) for the years 1965-1966 and 1972-1975. Contains correspondence on subjects dealing with dredging, siltation, pollution, erosion, and public water supplies. Emphasis is on impact of construction, utilities, and manufacturing on water quality. Special subjects include liaison with the Attorney General and with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
